At the pool...and apparently I still look like I'm 16. I know I look young...but really?
Seventeen year old boy: hey how are you? You look lonely
Me (24 yr old married woman): um, I'm good...not really lonely, I'm just cooling off in the pool.
17 yr old boy: oh ya. So you like to party?
Me: um no, no I don't.
17 yr old: what?!? Then how do you kick it?
Me: oh ya know...I study a lot. Once you've grown up your priorities kind of change.
17 year old boy: (now sitting on the side of the pool trying to flex his boyish muscles) oh ya, I know what you mean. I'm getting ready for my senior year and I feel like my parents are totally pressuring me to go to college and to graduate high school. So who do you live here with?
Me: my HUSBAND!
End of conversation...as I swim away

ReplyDeleteI know how you feel Angela. You will love it later on. When we moved to Eagle Mountain and Brady was three I constantly got asked it my mom was home. Hated it then....love it now!
